Our family has had so much success with the Electric Dog Fence system, we would be lost without our underground dog fence.
We feel compelled to share our experiences and the benefits of the electric dog fence with you. Certainly our three Golden Retrievers would not be as happy as they are without the security, freedom and independence they enjoy as a result of our pet containment system.
We live in the country on a beautiful five acre property with many forms of wild life. We can leave the dogs out to roam and run around the property for hours, getting lots of exercise, investigating many interesting things, particularly the squirrels and rabbits. Naturally the dogs chase them, but always stop at the boundary line of the electric fence and do not cross the underground dog fence, boundary fencing wire, even though they can not see it.
It has become great sport for the rabbits in that they now know the limitations of the dogs because of the underground dog fence and in fact they run along on the other side of the underground dog fence, fencing wire, teasing them. Our dogs still will not cross the electric fence despite this incredible temptation! It is fun to see the three dogs running on one side of the underground dog fence and the rabbits on the other side of the boundary fencing wire of the electric dog fence
Living in the country, you can imagine there are many wandering dogs. Our three Golden Retrievers, although they are very curious, never leave the property to investigate the activities of the other dogs or run over to the neighbour's property uninvited, due to the underground dog fence system.
We use our portable electric dog fence system when we go RVing, ( see our go RVing page).

We have two dogs, a large black lab mix and a border collie mix. We installed the IUC 4100 over 2 acres of our property. This product turned out to be an excellent choice for us. The training DVD was great and the one time I had to call for support I received excellent advice. Both rechargable collars have given us no problems (1 1/2 years old) and they get there share of abuse - our dogs are very active.
One note on this technology if your not sure about its effectiveness. We also have a few free ranging hens for eggs. The dogs will not cross the fence even when the hens walk near the line. Now that's temptation! **** 5 Star Rating
