Make sure you know exaclty how much wire you will need for your layout., perimeter or bounday . Do not forget to add in the amount of wire needed to go in and out from the transmiter at the house to the perimeter , this wire will likely be twisted . There is lot of information there and videos.

Do not forget the correct amount of flags there should be 1 flag every 10 ft. 50 flags for every 500 feet of wire. The flags should be put at the edge of the sound or boundary area. not at the wire edge. Train the dog not to go into the sound and that the sound leads to the shock.

THERE ARE 4 TYPES OF WIRE:

The thickest wire is 14g wire then 16g wire then 18g wire  then 20g wire.  The thicker wire gauges  are more dureable  thatn the next one down. The 18g wire  and 20g wire has a solid core and the 14g wire  and 16g  wire has a stranded core.  

It is not advisable to mix wire gauges on the same fence system, it should be the same gauge all the way around your area or the fence system will not function properly.

For 20g WIRE dog fences, use  #  2500020 -  20G wire alone

After looking at other systems we decided on Innotec for two particular reasons: the collars are totally waterproof, not just water resistant, and the dog gets an audio warning before the electronic one. I use this system to keep my akita in a 10 acre area. It works great. I really like the alarm system for wire breakage and power outage. The rechargeable collar really saves trying to keep spare batteries around the house. My dog was very easy to train and respects the boundry line. I highly recomend this product. ***** 5 STAR RATING
