We have two dogs, a large black lab mix and a border collie mix. We installed the IUC 4100 over 2 acres of our property. This product turned out to be an excellent choice for us. The training DVD was great and the one time I had to call for support I received excellent advice. Both rechargable collars have given us no problems (1 1/2 years old) and they get there share of abuse - our dogs are very active.
One note on this technology if your not sure about its effectiveness. We also have a few free ranging hens for eggs. The dogs will not cross the fence even when the hens walk near the line. Now that's temptation! **** 5 Star Rating

Our Boxer "SUSU" is 3years old and was trained from a puppy, she only requires the audiable "tone" with a occassional test of the system mostly from her excitment, and not realizing her location in the yard. My System works amazingly well after 1 year. My golden retrievers were wanderers and I can leave them alone outside all day now without a single worry.
