We have two dogs, a large black lab mix and a border collie mix. We installed the IUC 4100 over 2 acres of our property. This product turned out to be an excellent choice for us. The training DVD was great and the one time I had to call for support I received excellent advice. Both rechargable collars have given us no problems (1 1/2 years old) and they get there share of abuse - our dogs are very active.

One note on this technology if your not sure about its effectiveness. We also have a few free ranging hens for eggs. The dogs will not cross the fence even when the hens walk near the line. Now that's temptation! **** 5 Star Rating

My System works amazingly well after 1 year. My golden retrievers were wanderers and I can leave them alone outside all day now without a single worry. I've had no problems with the other brand systems employed by both my next door neighbors. My 2 goldens stay out of the garden perimeter as well. This system has given me a new sense of security. I'll never have to spend my evenings driving around screaming out my car window. :) I'm adding a new black lab puppy to the system soon and hope the same good fortune continues. That will be three dogs I don't have to worry about.

Most dog collar receivers are now waterproof. Waterproof means that the collar receiver can be submerged in water and will not be damaged. If the collar receiver is not waterproof it is water resistant. Water resistant means that the collar will not be damaged if exposed to rain or snow, but it should not be submerged.
