With the KidCo HearthGate G3100 there's a way to protect children and pets from the hazards of heat and flame from fireplaces, wood burning stoves and barbecue grills, as well as the dangerous corners and hard, rough surfaces associated with fireplace hearths. The KidCo HearthGate G3100 fireplace safety gate is the solution for layouts that do not have pet gate mounting points straight across from each other. The standard HearthGate G3100 Fireplace safety gate fits hearths 6 ft wide by 2 ft deep. Larger fireplaces and wood burning stove areas may require additional sections sold below.
The BLACK EXTENSION Model 4311 is the extension for the hearth gate and black configure gate is constructed of strong tubular steel with a Black non toxic, heat resistant finish that is easy to maintain and blends with any decor.It is warm to the touch and easy to clean . It is 24 in wide and 31 inches high. the size between the bars is 2.25 inches
The WHITE EXTENSION Model 4310 is the extension for the White Configure Gate only is constructed of strong tubular steel with white non toxic coating that is warm to the touch and easy to clean. At 24 in wide and 31in high, it's great for both children and pets. Available in white only. The size between bars for this gate are 2.25 inches.

There is no limit to the number of extensions you can add!
Measuring is as easy as:
1. Simply determine the area to protect or isolate.
2. Place objects at 24 inch intervals along the line of the intended gate configuration. If there is a space that is too small for a 24 in segment,
3. Count the number of 24 inch to determine the number of extensions needed.
4. 8 in sections are available if necessary
5. the gate and extensions can be angled at each joining at a 10 degree angle if necessary, so if the extensions make it slightly too long for your opening your can curve the gate out in a slight semi circle
Deal with the manufacturer directly if product has a defect.
