We would SO appreciate your role in Golden Huggs Rescue! Whether it be in the capacity of adopter, donator, foster or just general supporter, we can not rescue dogs and place in loving homes without you! The depth of our gratitude is in the eyes of every dog you help save.
We are now recruiting fosters to assist us in our work. We need people like YOU!!! Our fosters are the instrumental link between an unwanted dog and a beloved new family member. The foster home is the warm bed, gentle touch and soft kisses. It is with you that they recieve the first dose of confidence to become the great dogs we know that they can be.THIS IS WHY WE NEED YOU!! Currently our efforts in rescue are stalled due to lack of foster homes.
Fostering a rescue pup/dog is a wonderful experience. It is at best described, a labor of love, as through your selfless act and kindness you help prepare the dog for its' forever home. It is also a commitment as you dish out TLC and help the pupsters adjust to their new role as family pet/member. They have lost whatever human contact they had and most have now been separated from their littermates. All the smells and sounds in their world are new and frightening but they have YOU to help them acclimate and give them a sense of security.
We have been so very lucky to have the greatest fosters in the world! The truth is,we simply need more. More fosters to volunteer, more homes to place dogs as they await their final permanent 'home'. Those that help us currently have been relentless with their unwaivering commitment to helping these pups. Our goal is to expand the foster base so that we are not overtaxing our current fosters. We are looking for not only regular fosters but also "subfosters" who can be a short term respite to cover a regular foster's vacations or emergencies. This could be as little as a "long weekend".
We are only asking that you consider committing to one dog at a time, or even just one dog. If you are curious, if you have questions, call us, we can discuss the logistics and the impact our fosters make on our dogs and in this rescue. The fosters are the lifeline of rescue. When you take in one foster pup, you allow us to save two dogs in need!!! Consider this.....can you make the commitment to save even one pup who needs to feel the comfort of your home while waiting for his "people" to see him/her on Petfinder? If so, please call today!
