How does this bark collar work. Every time your dog barks, the electronic bark sensing unit releases a painless spray of citronella in front of the dog's snout. Your dog hears it, sees it, feels it, and smells it.
At the first spray your dog's natural curiosity will be to seek the origin of the new citronella odor, sound and feeling. The dog will very quickly learn that when he or she barks, the Mutivet collar will Spray citronella. Through this harmless conditioned reflex, Multivet discourages your dog from barking. In a few days, the dog learns to keep quiet while wearing the collar and concentrate on more normal activities. No more trouble with the neighbors
Multivet, a self sufficient product, requires no human intervention, it will work even if you are not there. Should you want to reverse the effects of Multivet, just stop using the device. Ultimately, the animal can be trained to cease barking without having to wear the device. Multivet is the only humane solution to the problem of nuisance barking.
Dos and Don'ts For Anti Bark
Do's
Do reward your dog when he stops barking
Do practice the stop command
Do remove all other collars with metallic parts or tags. The created noise could needlessly activate the device.
Do fill to capacity before adjusting it to the dog.
Do take the battery out when not using the device
Don'ts
The collar should be worn only during periods of excessive barking and no more than eight hours per day.
Your spray collar is water resistant but not completely watertight. Remove it each time your dog wants to go for a swim.
If your dog tries to strip off the collar, a harness may be used instead of the collar provided with the kit. Dog harnesses are available in all good pet shops.
If required, trim your dog's fur on his neck where it could interfere with the spraying device.
Avoid letting your dog wear a collar with an empty reservoir.
